T im wrote the experimental, philosophical, comedy/adventure novel Barley Man and the Incredible Zukes (BMIZ) while still an undergraduate evening student at Iona College. The book was originally published as an e-novel and earned a cult following amongst the college crowd. Now in paperback, the offbeat quest continues to gather admiration from both collegians and those young at heart.

After being "paroled" from college with a B.A. in Communications, Tim remained in night school to earn an M.B.A. in International Management. He maintained his sanity during this time by peddling nuclear fuel and penning a collection of short stories, poetry, and songs, initially designed to woo womanly affections. The collection, which was ultimately titled, Egomaniac: Tales of an Unread, Unsaid, Unsung Loser, showcases the trials and troubles of a heart-torn protagonist.

Shortly after graduation, Tim set out to craft a new novel loosely based on his time as the youngest Nuclear Fuel Broker in the known universe. As luck would have it, the break-up of the former Soviet Union, industry scandals, green protests and a plunging global market created great fodder for the work. In the end, the novel, originally titled Lunches with Larry, was more fact than fiction and subsequently shelved for fear of industry backlash. Tim later admitted his paranoia and agreed to release the work under a new, though equally obscure title. Robin’s Clutch as it is now called is currently awaiting mass market release.

With that chapter closed, Tim set out to find his passion. He leveraged his sales, teaching and writing skills into the greatest career transition he never planned. After working as a trainer, sales manager, and Instructional designer, he landed a job in Organization Development. Along the way he penned MacLoughlin’s Game, a mainstream romantic adventure novel that dutifully offered enough of the surreal to keep loyal fans frantically flipping pages.

Tim continued to teach neighborhood kids karate throughout this journey, quickly growing schools in Rye and White Plains, NY. Alas, after suffering a serious back injury he was forced to curtail his teaching activities. Not to be discouraged, he leveraged his love of writing and soon penned, Defend Yourself! Developing a Personal Safety Strategy. The book was dedicated to Sara Furlong, his long-time mentor and first instructor.

Recent publisher problems forced Tim to temporarily pull the last two books from the market, though many copies are still in circulation. While kick-starting the representation process, he is fast at work on both a new novel and a book on sales process redesign.
